Powerflex Foil System
The Powerflex Foil System was specially developed as a rain shelter for the cherry crop. Over the years the system has been further developed for raspberries and blueberries. There are now even Powerflex systems above strawberries, redcurrants and blackberries.
Features
The Powerflex Foil System is designed to be easy to open and close. The system can be opened and closed more often in a year. As a result, customers often close the Powerflex system in the frost period. The Powerflex is constructed with 2 separate lanes above the grass track. In the middle of the row it is connected with elastic. The elastic holds the foil down through the gutter wire. This causes all the water to run into the gutter.
The Powerflex Foil System is available in several variants:

AnchoringThe anchoring is the most important part of the system. We therefore recommend that sufficient distance is kept between the post and the anchor. For the Powerflex Foil System, an anchor distance of at least 2.5 m is recommended. FruitSecurity Holland has an anchor for every type of soil. From the softest soil to the most stony soil. If there is any doubt about the type of soil, we will first test the screw anchor for sufficient resistance. A tensile strength of 2.5 to 3 tons is required. |
WindproofThe Powerflex system is wind resistant. This is due to the elastic connection. The wind can leave the system at all times. Suction or extreme wind pressure from above does not affect the stability of the system.

Woven filmThe film used in the Powerflex Foil System is a woven type. The woven film is available in one-sided and double-sided laminated form. The FruitSecurity film has a long life span and good durability. The woven film has a diffuse effect. A diffuse film diffuses the light. This prevents sunburn. |
Winter storageThe woven film is stored in the ridge during the winter. A black foil (Thermoplast) is mounted in the ridge of the Powerflex Foil System. The woven film is rolled up and stored in the thermoplast. This gives the foil better protection against the weather and UV radiation. |
Insect netThe Powerflex Foil System can also be equipped with an insect net. Insect netting is installed in the gutter and all around on the sides and front. The insect net provides optimum protection against insects and birds. Especially against the Suzuk fruit fly (drosophila suzukii). The gutter width is standard 20-30 centimetres. Naturally, a different gutter width can be discussed. The insect gauze also protects against rain. The rain is broken by the insect gauze and enters the grass track nicely. |
