Function of post caps

Post caps have an important function in the hail net and foil systems of FruitSecurity Holland. Post caps are therefore made of high quality plastic. Post covers must be able to withstand the extreme conditions. High temperatures up to 50 degrees Celsius and -30 degrees Celsius. Assembly must also be possible at any time. This requires a lot of knowledge of the right material. A so-called 'screw set' is included in the hood. During injection moulding, this is incorporated into the post cap. The longitudinal and transverse wires are fixed to this screw set.

Powermatic post cap

FruitSecurity Holland post caps have undergone quite an evolution over the years. Quick mounting is important, but also a strong post cap is necessary. The latest technology is included in the Powermatic post cap. The Powermatic post cap can be mounted quickly with a special tool, the Powermatic mounting tool. With a hammer, the Powermatic post cap can be hammered onto the concrete post. Through a special technique with internal ribs, the Powermatic post cap clamps itself to the post. The tensile strength is at least 120 kg. In circumstances where the poles are deeper into the ground or in a valley, the Powermatic can be additionally secured with a bolt. This gives strength against resistances of more than 300KG.

Firstfix post cap

Due to their shape, wooden posts require a different method of fixing. The post caps for wooden posts are the Firstfix and the Power Firstfix. These post caps are attached to the post by means of a wood screw. If a double head is required in the hail net or foil system, there is the solution with the plastic spacer. This item is an addition to the post cap and can be mounted on any post cap. Double wire solutions are often found in foil covers where hail nets or insect nets are also mounted.
