Ice nets/Ice protection PostNL

FruitSecurity Holland has realized an icefall protection system at the PostNL depot in Nieuwegein last week. FruitSecurity Holland delivers total systems for weather protection. At the PostNL depot in Nieuwegein we have mounted our custom made icefall protection system on a steel construction.

Protection against ice

Near the PostNL depot are several windmills. Ice may possibly fall from the wind turbines. At the depot there are many trucks for loading and unloading. The ice fall protection system must protect the trucks from the ice from the windmills.

Delivery and assembly

The delivery and installation of the system was done by FruitSecurity Holland. The installation specialists have mounted eye bolts on the steel construction with extreme precision and attached a special type of hail net. The special type of hail net is fine-meshed and therefore stops all ice. Above the hail net, another polyester net has been installed with a larger mesh size. With both nets, the trucks are assured of safe entry to the PostNL depot.
