Our hailnets are made of polyethyleen with a high density and U.V. resistance. The mesh size is 2,8mm x 8,7mm. The grey hail net is availble in different widths and lengths. We deliver grey hail nets, but also crystal and black nets.
KLY
In the Netherlands the average is 80 KLY in a year. U.V. stabilisatoren slowing down the aging process of the plastic (PEHD). The quantity of U.V. stabilisatoren provide the KLY-value. By experience we know that the hail nets has a life span of 10-15 years.
KLY provide for the most how long the life span of the hail net is. The same as KLY-value the weather influences, like wind, provide also an large part of the life span. The disadvantage of to much U.V. stabilisatoren (KLY) is that the flexibility of the hail net increase and the hail net become tougher. When the hail net is tough the hail net can break when there is strong wind.

Strength
The tensile strength of one single wire is 3,5kg per wire. This is 112kg per width. The tickness of one single wire is 0,32mm. Theoretical you can make a hammock of the hail net.
Weight
The weight of the hail net is 46-50 gram per square meter.
