Hail nets installed by variety
There are now many more colors of hail netting available in the fruit growing, nursery and/or automotive industries. In recent years, new colors have been developed and produced in order to better deal with light transmission. The light transmission differs per type and color of hail net. Therefore, a different type of hail net can be used for each variety. For example, with varieties which color more easily, a darker color hail net can be used.
FruitSecurity Holland has been gaining experience with different types of hail nets and different colors of nets for several years. Recently, a video has become available in which the different colors of hail nets can be clearly seen. In the video on the YouTube channel of FruitSecurity Holland, the so called Light grey and Grey hail nets are shown. The hail net system in the video is a Traditional Hail Net System and is installed in Zeeland (NL). The hail net system was conceived, delivered and assembled by FruitSecurity Holland.
