You have or will invest in harvest protection over your orchard. There are all kinds of different canopies with, for example, hail nets, insect nets, bird nets and foils. Do you always need an aerial platform when you invest in a fruit canopy? It is not always necessary to purchase an aerial platform, in fact not every fruit canopy requires an aerial platform.

Hail net or foil canopies (also called rain canopies) with a solid construction often have a height from 4.0m to 5.5m. To work safely at height, an aerial work platform is then really necessary. Opening and closing the hail nets or foils saves a lot of time with an aerial platform. Only which boom lift is best to use and where can you buy one? In this article, we describe just that.

Important when choosing an aerial work platform is the maximum height, the adjustable walking platforms and the turning radius. So pay close attention to this when purchasing! Also, several people should be able to move easily on the platform. Opening and closing hail nets and rain covers is often done with several people on one work platform.
